Seinai: "Žiburio" school
In 1908 in autumn was given a permission to open the first Lithuanian school in a region of Seinai.
In 1918 of February started to work the first gymnasium class of “Žiburys“. Firstly gymnasium head was historian J. Totoraitis, later - priest M. Gustaitis.
On April 28th , 1919 in this gymnasium there were 223 pupils, in primary school – 75 pupils. From 1919 autumn “Žiburio“gimnasium of Seinai continued its work in Lazdijai.

In kindergarten there are 25 pupils;
In primary school there are 30 pupils;
In gymnasium there are 27 pupils.
