Personal pages: Alicja Zimnick
Alicja Zimnicka was born in Puńsk (Poland) in 1975.
Between 1990 and 1994 she studied Textile Art at Kaunas Art College (Lithuania). She then went on to study Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw, where she painted under the direction of Professors Jacek Sempoliński and Andrzej Bieńkowski.
In 1997, she was awarded the covetted "Promoting Creativity" scholarship by the Polish Ministery of Culture & Art.
Her work has been exhibited in Poland and overseas in both individual and collective exhibitions; her work can also be found in private collections in Great Britain, Holland, France, Norway, Canada, USA, Italy, Spain and Lithuania.
